Staying within free-plan limits
- Keep CPU light: most time spent waiting on
fetch()is not CPU time, but heavy parsing or crypto is. Move heavy work to Workflows or a paid plan. - Combine schedules: one Worker with several cron expressions, branching on
controller.cron. - Cache and dedupe: avoid repeat API calls and repeat processing with KV.
- Watch usage: the dashboard shows requests and errors; alert before you hit daily caps.
